I am an Associate Professor in rock mechanics and geology in the Department of Mining Engineering and the Department of Structural and Geotechnical Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. My work involves the use of experimental rock deformation techniques combined with numerical modeling and field studies to understand geotechnical and geological problems.
